Citi Habitats

Cii Habitats

Real estate you can trust: A calm, sophisticated search for home.

The Challenge

Citi Habitats is one of New York’s most prominent and trusted real estate companies. But too many prospective customers assumed it wasn’t a “full service” broker with listings for both renters and buyers. And although the company recently rebranded, it wasn’t differentiating itself in the marketplace. Retaining and growing top agents is a top priority, and presenting a contemporary, authoritative, and sophisticated site to customers helps make that possible. The site’s dated, cluttered and confusing user experience—which also lacked the great photography that dominates competitor sites—was hurting more than helping the brand.

The Solution

We modernized the site throughout with a look and feel that prioritizes beautiful, informative photography and New Yorkers’ unique customer journey. We’re especially proud of having implemented a Javascript Angular framework that transforms citi-habitats.com into a radical new kind of property-search interface. Device-agnostic, it functions more like an app than a website; the sophisticated interface logic constantly pulls in data and changes modes in real time to meet browsers’ real-time needs. Once users filter by easily clickable criteria, rich listings pages feature interactive maps that include multiple listings in a single building as well as properties to explore just outside the search range. Agents are always close at hand, both featured on the properties they represent and in a clean, easily searchable directory of engaging profiles.

The Result

The Citi Habitats site conveys the confident simplicity and urban elegance that New York City renters and buyers expect. They can effortlessly search and browse listings and get connected to agents. Property hunting can be a stressful enterprise, and the site now provides a trustworthy refuge in that crowded, hype-filled landscape.
