Emory Rollins School of Public Health

A Digital Voice for a Healthier World

What We Did
  • Digital Strategy
  • UX
  • Content Strategy
  • Visual Design
  • Technical Research
  • Web Development

In 2021, the global pandemic shone a spotlight on public health. Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health emerged as a trusted leader and needed a digital platform to extend that expertise into the public conversation.

UX was about more than structure. We wanted to connect thought leadership, academics, and people working together, kind of like a three-legged stool—so a prospective student could see themselves in Rollins’ story and understand the promise of ‘public health for all.’

A Platform with a Mission

Rollins needed a sophisticated digital presence that would reflect its real-world influence in public health. The substance was already there—expert voices, influential studies, and the lived experiences of students and communities. Connecting these pieces would show the urgency and reach of Rollins’ work.

Digital Pulp partnered with Rollins to create a platform to elevate the school’s “Moving Public Health Forward” mission for a wide-ranging global audience.

How We Met Multiple Audiemces

  • Start Your Public Health Story

For prospective students, a refined Program Finder and clearer admissions content create a direct and supportive pathway into Rollins. Applicants can now easily compare programs and understand requirements.

  • Trace Research to Impact

A new taxonomy forms the site's backbone, linking news and research back to the people driving them. This intuitive structure allows policymakers and journalists to follow a clear path from an insight to an expert, seeing how Rollins’ impact extends from Atlanta to communities worldwide.

  • Stay Timely & Relevant

A scroll-activated homepage curates a stream of timely stories to showcase Rollins’ scholarship, relevance and to strengthen its presence with media, partners, and the community.

A New Design Language

A Living, Expandable Ecosystem

The new Rollins website is a living, breathing ecosystem designed to grow alongside the expanding field of public health. Using Acquia Site Studio and Site Factory, non-technical editors can easily create and update pages, while new research centers and labs can launch a site in minutes. A shared digital asset library ensures every image and story contributes to a consistent design system and Rollins’ powerful public health mission.

The result: A living platform as dynamic as the field it represents, and a digital reflection of Rollins’ role in public health, where the people, ideas, and discoveries that shape the world come into view together.
